Council approves billboard, garage-door contracts and Indian Creek engineering study

At Monday’s meeting the Lebanon City Council approved several procurement items spanning marketing, maintenance and engineering. Rebecca, a city presenter, asked for approval to renew multiple Lamar billboard contracts (including I-44 boards and a shared Springfield Bass Pro location) with renewals to be consolidated into the city’s fiscal year; council approved the ordinance renewing the contracts.
The council then approved a contract with Mid Missouri Door of Lebanon to replace eight public-works garage doors at the city garage for $27,600. The staff presenter said two bids were received and recommended the local vendor; council completed first and second readings and awarded the contract.
Tammy Young, assistant public works director, requested approval of a task order for a hydraulic study covering about 142 acres around Indian Creek Drive. Tammy said the lump-sum fee for survey and hydraulic analysis is $24,600 and estimated the work would take about 75 calendar days. The council approved the task order in its readings and adopted the ordinance to engage Archer Elgin for preliminary design services.
Each of the three items passed roll-call votes during first and second readings and will proceed to contracting and implementation steps by the public-works department.
