Lebanon council approves procurement and maintenance measures, multiple ordinances pass

Council Bill 69-18 authorized purchase of a new breathing air compressor for the fire department; staff said the old unit is 24 years old and parts are scarce and recommended purchase from Banner Fire Equipment. Council Bill 69-19 approved buying eight sets of new bunker gear and the surplus of older sets as part of the department's replacement plan. Council Bill 69-20 authorized a roof overlay for the Lebanon Police Station; staff recommended G and R Construction for $86,150. Council Bill 69-21 approved purchase of a 20-acre parcel near Mount Rose Street and Tower Avenue for roughly $240,000, with roughly 10 acres planned for a future park and 10 acres for stormwater detention. Council Bill 69-23 approved a contract with Rio Hot/Diamond Rio for the America's 250 headline concert in April 2026 for $43,500 using budgeted funds.
All these items passed by roll call vote during the meeting; staff indicated each is within budget or funded by available appropriations. Council members thanked department staff for the presentations and moved on to other business.
