Crawford County commissioners approved a range of routine payments, contracts and personnel actions during their Jan. 14 meeting, including a $1,906,622.59 disbursement covering county bills and a $424,286.40 health-insurance premium.
The board moved and approved minutes from Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, 2025, and the Jan. 7, 2026 work session. Commissioners ratified a variety of budgeted items: an annual membership payment to the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association for $5,472.16; renewal of the annual printer maintenance and supply agreement with Higgins Business Machines (effective Feb. 1, 2026); a contract with Logistics Linguistics Solutions for court interpreter services; and a one-year maintenance agreement with Hagan Business Machines billed per page for the treasurer’s office.
Domestic Relations ratified a cleaning contract with B and T Cleaning for $700 per month, a $125 monthly increase since 2022; officials said the county’s net cost after federal reimbursement is $42.50 per month. County maintenance ratified invoices for Courthouse Courtroom No. 3 remodeling totaling $675.46. The treasurer’s office also approved printing dog license renewal postcards for $1,874 to be reimbursed under Pennsylvania dog law.
Human Resources presented payroll and benefits items. The board approved payment of the February health-insurance premium for $424,286.40 (and noted a December adjustment of $3,567.92) and approved new hires and transfers listed in the packet. Within the salary board and retirement board sessions, the board approved the transfer of Jennifer Helson to full-time deputy register and recorder (effective Jan. 1, 2026), ratified an emergency hire in Human Services (per diem driver McKenna Gerard at $14.50/hr), and processed a retirement/withdrawal for Amanda Goodno with effective dates and interest through Jan. 13, 2026.
