Staff said the division reached nearly 10,000 learners collegewide and delivered contract training and grant-related revenue of $684,000 (a 41% increase over the prior year) across 211 training contracts to 109 businesses, serving 2,363 unduplicated incumbent workers. The division also ran 18 conferences that attracted 1,729 participants and continuing education courses that served 3,029 unduplicated participants (3,677 duplicated attendances).
Examples cited included the Temple Grandin event (548 attendees) and partnerships that place continuing-education classes in partner sites. Staff noted facility rentals and community partnerships as key elements of the division’s delivery model and said the spring continuing-education catalog is available; construction classes will be hosted at a nearby ADRC site during Adams campus construction.
Board members asked questions about partnerships; staff described ongoing collaborations with local employers, public safety partners and non-profits.
