At its Jan. 12 meeting the Wells Planning Board handled several routine and procedural items.
The board opened by approving the Dec. 15 meeting minutes by unanimous voice vote. An appeal for 1863 Post Road was reported as withdrawn and required no board action. The board considered three extension requests and acted as follows: it granted a 90‑day extension to the applicant represented by Joe Schomps of Cogniz (the vote recorded one abstention), approved a 45‑day extension for the Fairway/Red View applicant to provide documentation and allow staff review, and granted a 30‑day extension for Holiday House because the applicant was not available to attend. The Majestic Regency amendment was continued for 60 days to allow submission of corrected, PLS‑stamped plans.
During other business, staff circulated proposed ordinance amendments for further workshop review, including updates related to parking rules prompted by recent state law changes, monumentation/survey triggers and a request to create a clear maintenance definition. Board members asked staff to draft the ordinance language and to arrange a workshop to consider those changes.
The meeting adjourned by unanimous voice vote.
