Manhattan board receives development, public-works and police updates

Staff also said crews responded to three water-main breaks over the holidays and performed snow-plow and salting operations.
At the meeting the police chief reported that officers had executed a search warrant in the 24400 block of Arrowhead Drive. The chief said he could not discuss details, described the matter as an "isolated incident" under active investigation and stated there was no threat to neighboring areas.
Other items included a suggestion from a board member that residents review their ComEd bills for lower rates, recognition of longtime resident Jeff Dirts in the audience and a brief welcome to Rosemarie, who the chair said will be joining village staff.
