The Parks and Recreation Board held its reorganization meeting and swore in reappointed members before electing new officers for the coming year. A board member moved to elect Troy Turley as president and to appoint Matt Metzger as vice president; both motions were seconded and approved by voice vote.

The meeting opened with the oath of office for reappointed members named on the agenda (identified as Rob, Pike and Troy). An official administering the oath led the repeat-after-me sequence, including: "I will faithfully execute the duties of an appointment with my skill and ability." Signed copies of the oaths were requested and confirmed.

Outgoing president Robert Bishop was thanked for three years of service and outgoing vice president Aggie was thanked for last year’s assistance. The board agreed to transfer access to the parks-and-recreation email account and password to the incoming president and discussed a shared rotation for the monthly opening prayer, with Matt Metzger asked to coordinate the schedule.

The board also moved to accept the minutes from its previous meeting as presented; the motion was seconded and approved.

The newly elected officers will assume responsibilities immediately; the board did not record any contested votes on these procedural items. The meeting then moved on to project updates and grant-related business.
