The North Ridgeville City Board of Education accepted a series of gifts from community groups and individuals at the Jan. 13 meeting.
Donations listed for acceptance included $1,400 from the North Ridge Gold Band Boosters to purchase new marching band hats; $4,200 from M and T Roofing and Restoration to support the cross-country team; Mooncare Closet's donation of toys, coats, gloves and hats for Liberty School; a $500 gift from the Northbridgeville Rotary Club for the high school choir; $300 from Lisa Procopius for the choir; $75 from Tom's Creek Garden Club for NHS choir; and Early Childhood Learning Center PTA contributions ($129.40 for an apple cider/hot chocolate bar, $463 for a conference dinner for staff, and $168 for a back-to-school breakfast).
Board members thanked the community for supporting students and staff; acceptance of donations was part of the consent/acceptance agenda.
