An administration representative described the amendment as "necessitated by updated city requirements and associated design revisions." A motion to approve the buildings and operations report, which included the amendment, was moved and seconded and the board approved it by roll call.
Board members were told such contract amendments are normal over the course of large construction projects; the administration said more similar amendments may appear as the work proceeds.
