Saratoga County’s Law and Finance Committee met on Jan. 14 and approved a nine-item packet that included two state opioid funding awards, routine contract actions and the introduction of a local law to expand senior property tax exemptions.
The committee voted by voice to accept $522,687 in opioid stewardship funds from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) to be passed through to RISE Housing and Support Services, Inc., and $276,446 in opioid settlement funds to be passed through to the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Council of Saratoga County, Inc., for peer-driven services.
