County staff explained that this funding action moves cash balances within existing bonds into project-specific lines so projects can be paid from the correct highway lines rather than from other properties.
Nick Bar (staff) told the council that total bond funds across the packages amount to $5,964,000 and that the requested appropriation for highway bond 49-31 is $1,588,000 to fund two bridge projects; an additional $405,000 was identified for small structures. Staff noted an apparent misprint in the advertised agenda numbers and clarified the corrected calculations during the meeting.
The council opened public hearings on each additional request (bond 49-31, 49-32, 49-33, bridge/small structures and road conversions). No members of the public spoke during the hearings. Each appropriation was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will finalize appropriation paperwork and proceed to allocate bond cash balances into the specific project lines as approved.
