Local vendor reports $23,015 in donations to L'Anse Creuse schools, launches 'Send A Sip' fundraiser

Jennifer Tuttle, a retired L'Anse Creuse Public Schools teacher who operates a Traveling Toms coffee truck and a Kona Ice franchise, told the school board she and her husband donated sizable sums to local schools and nonprofits as their businesses have grown.
"In 2023, our first year in business, we were able to donate 5,665 back to the schools and nonprofits. In 2024, we more than doubled that and donated back $11,376. In 2025, we doubled it again, and we donated back $23,015 to local schools and nonprofits," Tuttle said during the meeting's public-comment period. She added that $3,660 of the 2025 total went to L'Anse Creuse Public Schools, with more than half directed to the class of 2026 senior projects and events.
Tuttle said the coffee truck visit was part of "board appreciation month" and that the businesses will partner with the L'Anse Creuse Foundation on a fundraiser called "Send A Sip," allowing community members to purchase coffee grams for district staff.
Board members thanked Tuttle for the donation and for bringing the truck to the meeting. The contribution and the planned fundraiser add a modest revenue stream for school activities and staff recognition, but the district did not present any formal financial acceptance or allocation action during the meeting.
