Cotati council annexes Redwood Road parcels into Community Facilities District 2017‑01

The council approved annexation of four parcels at Redwood Drive and Highway 116 owned by Cotati Commons Marketplace LLC into Community Facilities District (CFD) 2017‑01 to provide police protection, parkway maintenance, stormwater services and related costs; staff will record the annexation map and amended notice of special tax lien with the county.
At the meeting council considered a public hearing and resolution to annex four assessor parcels at Redwood Drive and Highway 116 into Community Facilities District (CFD) No. 2017‑01. Public works director Craig Scott explained the boundary and service list (police protection, park maintenance, parkways, flood and stormwater protection and staff/overhead costs). Scott noted the properties have a single common owner and that there are no registered voters on the parcels.
No public comments were offered during the hearing and the council adopted the annexation resolution by roll call vote. Following approval staff will record an amendment to the notice of special tax lien and the annexation map with the county to formalize the inclusion.
