Mayor Denise McGriff recommended following the commission’s rotation for the position and nominated Scott Wilson. The motion to appoint Wilson was moved and seconded and passed unanimously on a roll call vote.
Wilson recited the oath, saying, “I, Scott Wilson, do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of The United States and the state of Oregon along with the Oregon City Municipal Charter and Code,” and signed the commission paperwork. Officials confirmed the oath and the required signature were completed.
The appointment is part of the commission’s annual rotation of leadership positions. No further changes to commission assignments were made at the meeting.
