Mayor of Prospect shifts public hours to 'Meet with the Mayor'; hazardous-waste seminar and recycling tour announced

The mayor of Prospect announced a change to the city’s public outreach format and several upcoming events during the meeting. "It's not gonna be coffee with the mayor anymore. It's gonna be meet with the mayor," the mayor (Speaker 1) said, adding that the new sessions will start at 11:00 a.m. at City Hall and that city leadership (John Carter, Tony and Michael, described as chief and assistant chief) would be available to respond to residents' questions.
The mayor also invited residents to a hazardous-waste seminar at City Hall on Monday the 12th at 5:00 p.m., led by a Metro Louisville staff member who oversees waste and recycling. He announced a Rumpke recycling- and landfill-tour scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19, in Cincinnati and recommended attendance for those interested in how solid-waste removal and recycling operate.
He noted the city's next regular council meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 20 (moved because of the Martin Luther King holiday on the 19th). The mayor asked residents to attend the new 'Meet with the Mayor' sessions to raise concerns, ask questions, or say hello.
The announcements were presented as informational items without formal votes attached. Officials encouraged public participation and said they would distribute event notices and flyers ahead of the meetings.
