The Board approved a sale and operating agreement to accept donated skate ramps from Craig’s Skatepark Alliance and place them at the county fairgrounds.
John Miller of Craig’s Skatepark Alliance presented the agreement, saying the ramps were donated from Hayden and the county would take ownership for a nominal $1. Miller said the ramps will be located at the fairgrounds picnic shelter until April 26, 2026, when picnic shelter rentals begin and the ramps will be removed. He described required signage stating “skate at your own risk,” and said he would assist with lights and coordinate with local youth and law enforcement about hours and security.
A commissioner moved to approve the sale and operating agreement between Moffat County and Craig’s Skatepark Alliance; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners thanked Miller for his work in providing a skating opportunity for local youth.
Staff noted the county will not assume liability for activities on the ramps and that Miller will help with oversight and communication once the ramps are placed.
