City staff agreed to analyze options for the coming year to address member requests about speech therapy coverage caps. Chair noted the committee will review speech therapy caps as part of next year’s analysis and Nate Kerr was listed to return to present additional options.

Darren Partika asked staff to consider removing caps on all speech therapy services, while Acting Chief Assistant City Attorney Jessica Coberly reminded the group that a recent state law change addressed caps specifically for stuttering. The committee asked staff to bring back analysis that reflects both the statutory change and broader coverage options.

The committee did not take any immediate action; staff will analyze policy options and present findings at a future meeting.
