Highway Superintendent Theresa presented the February agreement listing roads proposed for resurfacing and chip-seal maintenance (including Stony Brook Road, Bridal Road, Sankstack and Kidd Lane). The board recorded estimated resurfacing costs of $320,000 and a $90,000 chip-seal budget (with an $82,000 balance to roll from 2025). Theresa explained the chip-seal program as preventive maintenance that extends pavement life and noted that final work will depend on the state budget and winter weather.
On the fleet, the board authorized procurement under the New York State OGS contract for a Dodge Ram ProMaster electric cargo van through the mini-bid process, with an estimated cost not to exceed $78,000 and an expected state/local rebate of roughly $7,500. Theresa said the van would replace a 2008 cargo van used for sign installation and equipment transport; it is not an emergency-response vehicle and would be used for multi-purpose departmental needs. The board said it will receive bid results and confirm whether to purchase after reviewing returned quotes.
