Boise City has hired Alicia Records as its parks resource superintendent, Director Arcol announced during the commission meeting. The position leads planning, maintenance and rehabilitation for the city’s parks system.

Alicia Records, who spoke to commissioners after the introduction, said she has served the city for about 11 years in various roles and thanked Director Arcol and staff for the opportunity. "I can't wait to start in 2 weeks," Records said, and added she is eager to support the department and meet expectations in the role.

Director Arcol told commissioners Records has experience across departments and most recently served as deputy superintendent for Zoo Boise, where she managed operations, staffing and budget. Arcol said Records brings institutional knowledge that will help lead the team responsible for parks maintenance and capital projects.

The appointment was introduced as a congratulatory announcement; the commission offered congratulations but did not take a formal vote on the hire during the public meeting.
