On Jan. 12 the Andover Board of Selectmen approved two personnel appointments.
Lisa Jablonski was selected to be town treasurer after a review of three finalists and interviews by a subcommittee that included members of the Board of Finance. Selectmen said Jablonski brings relevant finance experience, will work part‑time, and could begin immediately. The motion to appoint Jablonski passed unanimously.
The board also appointed Miranda McDonald as assistant to the assessor following a search that produced six candidates. The hiring panel (assessor, Roberta Doherty and others) recommended McDonald based on her experience with title work and records; the board unanimously approved the appointment and authorized an immediate start.
Board members said both hires should improve coordination among departments, and the treasurer appointment in particular will help address corrective‑action steps raised by the town auditor.
