The Liberty Lake Board of Trustees reviewed a consolidated meeting-room policy intended to harmonize the library’s website text with its written policy and identified a series of edits before formal adoption.
Trustee Jen said she synthesized the website and prior written policy into a single-page draft. Trustees discussed formatting and substance: they noted the draft inadvertently used the study-room label where it meant to refer to the larger meeting room and found a capacity typo (a line listing "39" was corrected to "10" for the study room). Trustees agreed the study room should not allow food while the larger meeting room can allow light snacks with the requirement that users clean up afterward.
The board also agreed to reinstate a 15-minute reservation-no-show rule (users must arrive within 15 minutes of a reservation or the reservation is forfeited) and recommended the same rule apply to the study room. Jen offered to update the draft to incorporate these changes and to circulate the revised version for final review ahead of an action item at a future meeting.
No formal vote was recorded on the policy at this meeting; trustees asked staff to make the edits, add revision headers/footers, and resubmit the consolidated policy for formal consideration.
