Council awards $288,150 contract for City Hall dual‑fuel emergency generator

Councilors asked follow‑up questions about the propane tank (a 499‑gallon tank adjacent to the building), whether the system could run on propane alone during interim periods, and what permitting would be required from Rolling Hills Estates. Staff replied that the bid included the pad and propane tank and that the system was designed to operate off propane temporarily if natural gas connections were delayed. Staff said they would return with additional details about run‑time estimates and permitting status.

Council voted to award the contract and the motion passed unanimously.
