The committee recorded several unanimous or near‑unanimous procedural votes during the meeting:
• DESE resubmittal (Wilkins Elementary): Motion to approve schematic resubmittal to include changing stations in special‑education toileting rooms — carried 4–0.
• Gibbons field trip: Out‑of‑state trip to Providence Children’s Museum approved; administrators said costs will be covered by the PTA — carried 4–0.
• Stoughton High School NESBA Winter Guard: Facilities‑fee waiver for Feb. 7 competition approved, custodial fees remain payable — carried 4–0.
• Scholarships: Committee approved five named scholarships donated to students (Deborah Carter Ahern Memorial; Paul Morris Jr. Memorial; Otto Alfred Peterson & Dorothy Clapp Peterson; Carol Savino Drifters Together Memorial; David Spanky Souza) — motion to approve all five carried 4–0.
• Minutes and warrants: Committee approved open‑session minutes for Nov. 18, Dec. 2 (one abstention recorded on Dec. 2), and Dec. 16; warrants list entered into the record.
Why it matters: These votes complete routine approvals and one construction/design resubmittal that affects accommodations for students with disabilities. The DESE resubmittal moves a design choice into the approved plan rather than requiring later retrofit work.
What’s next: Administrators will continue DESE coordination for the resubmittal. Staff were asked to circulate calendar Option C and to solicit parent feedback for the 2026–27 calendar; working‑group and policy items (homework) will return for later committee review.
