Arvada Immigrant Partnership reports expansion, outreach and advocacy efforts

At the Jan. 6 meeting, Pat Malone updated the council on work of the Arvada Immigrant Partnership since its formation in November 2024.
Malone said the partnership has 223 members, many of whom have been active, and listed accomplishments including lobbying state legislators in support of SB 25-276, training volunteers for the Colorado Rapid Response Network, conducting court-watching at the Denver Immigration Courthouse to assist immigrants attending mandatory check-in appointments, and outreach to more than 200 Arvada businesses with know-your-rights materials. The group also provided transportation and material support to immigrant families and introduced itself to family-engagement liaisons at five Arvada schools to strengthen connections.
Malone urged continued collaboration between the city and the partnership to support immigrant families and ensure public entities meet SB 25-276 requirements.
