The proclamation cites Jefferson County Public Health, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the American Lung Association as partners in outreach and prevention.
Council paused for a group photo following the presentation; no separate vote was required for the proclamation.
Council materials and the proclamation encourage Arvada residents to test all homes — single-family, apartments and mobile homes — and to pursue mitigation if elevated levels are detected.
