Lowell resident urges fixes on Smith Ave; city promises inspection and follow-up

The city manager committed to having pothole crews inspect Smith Ave promptly, have staff (Mr. Machado) collect the resident’s information and report back with next steps, noting larger drainage or utility work could affect timing for a full reconstruction.
Councilors thanked the resident for petitioning and urged neighbors to provide photos and information to help staff prioritize small‑street repairs; the manager noted larger funding and Chapter 90 or capital planning constraints for permanent fixes.
