The York City Planning Commission completed its postponed election of officers, electing Mike Johnson as chair, Chris Velez as vice chair and Maribel Bergos as secretary.
Nominations were made from the floor and each nomination was seconded; roll call votes recorded affirmative responses from the commissioners present and the chair and two officer positions were confirmed.
Mike Johnson was formally recognized as chair after the vote. The commission also announced an informational session scheduled for Monday the 26th at 6:00 p.m., to be led by Andy Carroll, who the commission said will continue to serve as the solicitor despite having moved into private practice.
