Members also discussed reconstructing a missing balcony and the rail and baluster profile; the board identified preferred profiles (including previously used composite profiles) and provided product/profile references. Speaker 3 moved to approve the application as submitted with the additional requirement that the railing and cap match the discussed profile; Speaker 2 seconded, and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The board’s approval requires the applicant to supply the specified railing profile (board referenced 8840PF/8841PF and 1-1/4-inch square balusters as a suitable profile example) and to submit final material samples and mortar test results for staff review before final permitting.
