The court took up the agenda item recognizing the return to office of County Judge Duane Peters. A motion for approval of the return was made.

Duane Peters addressed the court and audience, offering thanks to family, medical staff and colleagues and saying he was grateful to be back. "I want to thank my Lord and Savior," Peters said, adding thanks to family members who supported him during a difficult medical period. He also thanked Kyle for stepping in while he was away.

Peters said he was looking forward to serving his final year in office and expressed appreciation for the court's patience during his absence. The court then moved on to convene an executive session later in the agenda.
