Haskell County commissioners approve sheriff office personnel changes, monthly reports and appropriations

Haskell County commissioners met to consider routine business including personnel updates in the sheriff’s office, monthly departmental reports and several appropriations and transfers.

The board approved a request to add Laura Storm to the list of requisitioning agents for the sheriff and to remove her as a receiving agent. An unidentified meeting participant moved to approve the change and another seconded; commissioners recorded affirmative responses and the motion passed.

Commissioners reviewed and adopted Resolution 31 26 0 5, appointing Heath Warsham as a requisitioning officer for the sheriff’s office. The resolution was introduced for review and approved by recorded affirmation.

The court clerk’s records management and preservation monthly report was presented and approved. Commissioners also reviewed and signed monthly reports for the assessor, county clerk, election board, health department and treasurer. Separately, the board approved appropriations, transfers of appropriations, checks received and purchase orders to be paid.

The meeting recessed and later reconvened; the minutes and excise-board proceedings from the previous meeting were approved during the excise-board roll call. During the meeting a speaker raised an operational concern, stating, “There’s a lot of CDL at risk,” noting that current requirements had not been kept up to date; no formal action on that concern was recorded during the session.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn, which passed by roll-call affirmation. No additional votes or formal amendments were recorded in the transcript.
