Meeting schedule and legal services: The board approved the calendar of 2026 meeting dates (generally the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m., with a few exceptions) and approved the listed law firms to represent the district in 2026; trustees noted one new addition (Bricker) to cover special‑education representation and said the board can add firms during the year if needed.
Memberships and pooled legal assistance: Trustees approved membership in the Ohio School Boards Association for 2026 in the amount of $10,882 (noting the fee is assessed on a per‑pupil basis) and approved participation in OSBA’s legal assistance fund at $250 for 2026, which provides access to pooled legal resources if the district needs additional help.
Budget and unclaimed funds: The board adopted the alternative tax budget for fiscal year 2027 and noted that the budget will be submitted to the county auditor. Separately, the treasurer described searching the state’s unclaimed funds site and filing a claim for roughly $6,500 in outstanding vendor and other small payments; the board authorized submission of the claim.
Minimum wage: The board resolved to adopt/acknowledge the new Ohio minimum wage rate of $11 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2026.
All items were approved by motion, second and roll‑call vote; each passed on a 4–0 vote.
