The City of Otsego council approved its meeting agenda as amended and the consent agenda by voice vote. Council member Ryan moved to approve the agenda as amended (adding council goal setting to item 5.2); Corey seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
Ryan then moved to approve the consent agenda as amended; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. The mayor read a slate of subcommittee and liaison appointments (planning commission, park and recreation, heritage preservation, public safety, public works, administrative subcommittee and others); the council approved the slate by motion.
On appointments, a motion was made and seconded to appoint Tory Tanner as acting mayor; the mayor accepted the nomination and the motion passed. The council also moved and approved an amendment to the minutes to add a point of order raised by Council member Dunlap; the mayor noted the change would be reflected in the recording and the minutes were approved as amended.
On scheduling and staff follow‑up, the council asked staff to circulate a Doodle poll and to assemble materials for council goal‑setting sessions; staff said they would follow up by email. The council set advisory commission interviews for Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. (15 minutes per applicant) and set a proposed Economic Development Authority meeting for Feb. 9 at 6 p.m.
