Trustees of the Greater Clark County School Board completed their annual reorganization and approved routine agenda items at the meeting.
John Buckwalter was nominated and approved as board president, Theresa Perkins as vice president and Keith Freeman as secretary. The board also confirmed Laura Huberger as chief financial officer/treasurer and Jennifer Cato as deputy treasurer. Each nomination was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board approved the meeting agenda and the previous meeting minutes by voice vote.
Under the consent agenda the board accepted gifts to school buildings totaling $5,030 from community donors, including support for field trips and school programs. The board also approved supplemental payments for teachers listed in the packet; the presenter said those payments had been discussed with Samantha Pierce, GCEA president.
The meeting recessed briefly before continuing with capital-project and finance items.
The board is expected to follow up on routine administrative items at upcoming meetings.
