Committee recommends $340,000 contract with Stantec to design Gilboa Avenue solar pavilion

City Engineer Brian Ruff told the committee the city received federal funds via the Northern Borders Regional Commission for a Gilboa Avenue solar pavilion. After an initial public advertisement produced no responses, the city reposted the request for qualifications, interviewed two firms and identified Stantec as the preferred engineering consultant.
"We reviewed and evaluated both the quality of the qualifications and their interview and identified Stantec as the preferred engineer consultant for the project," Ruff said. He said the mutually agreed scope and fee were below the grant amount for the project.
Staff recommended executing a contract with Stantec for engineering services for an amount not to exceed $340,000. A councilor moved to recommend authorization and the committee voted unanimously to forward the recommendation to the city council for final approval.
