McLean County reports high website accessibility scores, advances ERP work and honors longtime IT employee

McLean County IT staff told the Executive Committee that recent accessibility work has produced strong automated scores and that the county is preparing for an April compliance deadline. Mr. Leary reported Acquia web governance at 98.95 (industry average cited around 85.82), AudioEye at 97 out of 100 and Dubbot at 98 percent; staff said they are focusing next on alternative text for images and have launched employee intranet resources and an ADA working group.
Staff also briefed the committee on the ERP rollout and associated training: training sessions are beginning, on-site resources are being scheduled and contingencies exist for integration issues. IT reported a challenging initial payroll bridge test between two systems but expects to complete subsequent trial runs, with a contingency plan if payroll posting does not occur by the county’s internal deadline.
Mr. Matt Berger presented statements of work to modernize audio-visual systems, including the Sheriff’s conference room and the Law & Justice Building emergency operations center; staff said upgrades are intended to support multi-source displays for activation events.
Chair Johnson also presented a certificate of appreciation to Jin Hai Sun recognizing his 28 years in the McLean County information technologies department and his support for the integrated justice system; Mr. Sun’s retirement date was noted as Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.
