Cumberland County commissioners voted Jan. 14 to accept a $725,176 countywide implementation award from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and to approve a series of contracts and capital projects spanning public safety, records management and infrastructure.
"We are seeking your approval to accept the award in the amount of $725,176," Elizabeth told the commissioners when presenting the DEP CAP grant request. The award includes $100,000 in coordinator funding for 2026, Elizabeth said, and the county voted to accept the funds.
The board approved multiple routine and nonroutine items on the regular agenda. Staff described a nonmonetary agreement to host an intern from the University of Kentucky, which commissioners approved.
