The Des Moines Plan and Zoning Commission approved a nominating committee slate for its officers during the meeting. Jason (staff) reported the nominating committee, comprising Emily, Johnny and Todd, had provided a written slate in advance. The slate nominated Leah for chair, Laura for vice chair and Jane for second vice chair. A motion to adopt the slate was made and approved by the commission.

Commission bylaws allow nominations from the floor, but the committee noted value in notifying nominees in advance. The commission will notify members of the new officer assignments and update its roster ahead of the next meeting.
