During its Nov. 17 meeting the Madison County Board of Supervisors approved a slate of routine and project items, including preliminary plats, utility permits, a maintenance release, financing and budget items.
Key actions: the board approved preliminary plats and associated variances for White Oak Farms Phase 2 and Phase 3 after staff said some lots are under the 5‑acre private‑road minimum; authorized a board order releasing the contractor from maintenance for SAP 4519s (Loring Road resurfacing); approved a Comcast permit to bore 540 feet of 2‑inch HDPE on Lone Pine Road and an Atmos permit to bore about 250 feet of 2‑inch gas main on Cane Creek Road.
Financial and procedural items included approval of budget amendments and an interfund cash transfer, acceptance of general claims and payroll dockets, approval of a FleetCorps claims docket, and acknowledgement of an executed land sale agreement for county property adjacent to the tax building. The board also approved the pending zoning commission roster for November.
The board opened bids for a $6.5 million short-term road borrowing. Four bids were read; Regions offered the low bid at 3.45% and the board voted to sell the note to Regions at that rate.
Finally, the board entered executive session for litigation. On returning to open session the board announced it had approved an administrative adjustment to purchase right-of-way on the Bozeman Road Project Phase 2.
