Ward 1 NAB elects officers, approves agenda and minutes

The Ward 1 Neighborhood Advisory Board approved its meeting agenda and the minutes from October and December, and elected officers for 2026.
Mike Stevens moved to approve the agenda; Sunny Allen seconded and the motion carried. Dalton Kason agreed to serve another year and was elected board chair after a nomination. Shonda Golden nominated Anthony (Antonio) Taylor for vice chair; the board discussed briefly and elected him. Sunny Allen nominated Maya Johnson to continue as secretary; the motion was seconded and approved.
The board also heard reports from Council liaison Kathleen Taylor and staff liaison Cali Shy, who reviewed upcoming city meetings, engagement opportunities and reminded members about vacancies and how to check term dates online. After development project discussion and follow-up items, a motion to adjourn, moved by Mike Stevens and seconded by Shonda Golden, carried and the meeting concluded.
