• RDA direction — The Redevelopment Agency Board approved a motion directing staff and outside counsel to obtain a public legal opinion on using RDA funds for police officers; motion carried.
• Rivermount sewer project (C1) — Council approved installing sewer mains with the Rivermount street rehabilitation project and authorized staff to draft an area-specific connection-fee ordinance; motion carried unanimously.
• Ordinance adoption — Ordinance No. 6732 (childcare ordinance amending municipal code Title 18 to add standards for child care centers, in-home and workplace child care) was read by the city attorney and adopted unanimously.
• Appointments — Council approved several appointments and reappointments to advisory boards, including the reappointment and new appointments to the downtown and financial advisory boards; motions carried.
• Legal settlement (C3) — The council approved a legal settlement in McElroy and Troup v. City of Reno, case number 3:23-CV-00451, in the amount of $300,000; motion carried.
