District enrollment down about 587 students; attendance below last year

A board member asked what the district’s executive directors will do in response. District leadership said the three executive directors for school leadership will collaborate with building principals to focus on attendance-related action items in School Improvement Plans (SIPs), use updated attendance data to make targeted adjustments, and support implementation at the building level.
Superintendent-level staff characterized SIPs as “living, breathing documents” that will be revised as new data arrive. No formal motions or votes were taken; the enrollment and attendance figures were presented for information and the board confirmed the district is directing staff to prioritize attendance interventions.
