County communications: transfer station closed, roundabout delays amid power issues

At the start of the meeting, communications staff Megan Heiler told commissioners and residents that the county transfer station was closed because of a power outage and apologized for the inconvenience. She said the roundabout’s typical Thursday schedule was running on a delay.
“If you are trying to go to the transfer station today, it is closed due to a power outage,” Heiler said, and directed residents to the county website to sign up for text alerts about delays and closures.
Commissioners also reported travel disruptions tied to an I‑70 backup that was filtering into Georgetown. One commissioner warned that parts of Evergreen had been without power for more than 24 hours and urged residents to charge devices, store water and fuel vehicles in case gas stations were closed.
Heiler recommended residents go to the county website sign‑up for notifications; the county’s official site is clearcreekcounty.us. The communications update was informational and no action was required by the board.
