The Roseville City Council voted Oct. 28 to award a purchase contract to Trailer Country USA for two tandem-axle enclosed trailers to replace open trailers used to transport municipal mowers.
Public Works staff explained the enclosed trailers will improve safety while transporting equipment, protect roughly $8,000 worth of mower equipment, and free indoor garage space by providing winter storage. Staff reported Sourcewell (cooperative purchasing) pricing and an RFP returned two trailers for approximately $15,009 — described as roughly the cost of one trailer at list price.
Council moved and approved the award by voice vote. Public Works staff thanked yard personnel who advised on specifications and pricing.
What’s next: Public Works will coordinate delivery and equip the trailers for safe mower transport and winter storage.
