Committee recommends update to municipal personnel code and rules

Administrative Services Director Jason Gallo told the committee the effort represents about two years of work to streamline duplicative language, simplify rules and make personnel guidance easier to understand and apply. Gallo said the code and rules are intended to be a "living document" that can be amended as future policies require.
Committee members praised the organization and clarity of the revisions. Alderman Karen Dixon moved that the committee forward the ordinance with a positive recommendation; the motion was approved by voice vote.
