For L Stevens Road, staff presented a petition to install a joint pole about 2,026 feet east of the intersection with North Main Street; the request was reviewed and approved by the police chief and DPW superintendent and notices were sent to abutters. National Grid representative Robert Williams attended and said he was available "to answer any questions." With no abutter concerns and no questions from the board, the hearing was closed and the petition approved unanimously.
A second petition sought relocation of a joint pole on Gould Road to serve a new residential service near Jones Road; again staff confirmed departmental signoffs and no comments from abutters. The board closed that hearing and unanimously approved the relocation request.
Both approvals were recorded following routine procedure; staff noted petition processing times can vary and that some delays may occur in the chain of communication between utilities and town review.
