Fortuna planning commission elects new chair and vice chair, approves minutes and hears development updates

Later in the meeting staff reported 10 new single-family residences and a total of 37 new housing units currently in the permit pipeline. The Community Development Department announced a request for proposals for Fortuna’s comprehensive general-plan update and next housing-element update; the RFP window is open for one month. Staff also announced an in-person training for commissioners at the end of the month, with some virtual/homework components to follow.
The chair adjourned the meeting after a motion and unanimous vote.
