County officials recommended renewing two contracts to provide conflict criminal defense appointments when the public-defender's office has a conflict.

The first contract is with Buskin Davis Law Offices for $4,000 per month to provide four criminal appointments; presenter said the office performed near the forecast (46 appointments in the prior year against an annual estimate of 48). The second contract is with Jacobson, Julius & Harshberger Law Offices for $7,000 per month to provide seven appointments. The board moved, seconded and approved both renewals by voice vote.
