Commissioners OK Cleona Borough lease for judge and approve $4,500 HVAC expedition change order

Separately, the board considered change order number 2 for phase 1 of municipal building renovations. The county learned the HVAC equipment had a 14-week lead time that threatened to pause other completed work. The manufacturer offered expedited handling for an extra cost of $4,500; the board approved the change order to expedite the units and avoid schedule delays.
Beugley said the Cleona lease terms remain substantially the same for the first year despite the change to a one-year term, and the board approved his recommendation by voice vote. The board approved the HVAC change order after staff explained the schedule risk and the additional $4,500 cost to prioritize the shipment.
The board then announced an executive session to discuss union negotiations and adjourned the meeting.
