Board members reiterated that the normal dollar threshold for bringing bids to the full board is $100,000, and that committee review is intended to speed procurement while preserving required board approvals for higher-cost items.
Some members sought assurance that the full board would see the RFP language before it is released; committee leaders said they would share the draft and accept suggested edits prior to issuance. The board voted to move the RFP forward to the facilities and finance committee for finalization and subsequent presentation to the full board.
