At the Glynn County Schools Board of Education meeting on Jan. 13, the board recognized Landon La Roach, a junior at Glenn Academy, for academic success and musical achievements.
A presenter said La Roach maintains a 4.0 GPA, is dual enrolled at the College of Coastal Georgia, and has won multiple competitions, including a first-place solo piano award at Team Talent International that carried a tuition prize from Lee University. La Roach also was named the Georgia State Beta performing arts instrumentalist champion and will perform at the National Beta Convention in Nashville. La Roach told the board how participation in the arts builds leadership and teamwork skills.
Board members congratulated La Roach and wished him luck at upcoming performances and auditions.
